Dollahite Racing is thrilled to announce that they will be competing in the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS with the newly developed Ford Mustang GT3. The team will proudly field the number 6 Mustang GT3, driven by Scott Dollahite and Anthony Lazzaro, as they aim to make a strong statement in this highly competitive championship.

Team President Bill Dollahite shared his enthusiasm for the program: “We believe that the Mustang is the best platform on the grid, while we also recognize there is a lot of work ahead to dial in the full potential of the car. We have very talented and committed people in our organization dedicated to this, and our direct collaboration with Ford and Multimatic, as well as their global customers, will help us get an understanding of the car much quicker.”

The Ford Mustang GT3 is already proving itself as a formidable competitor. Making its debut at Le Mans in 2024, the car is powered by a 5.4-liter naturally aspirated Ford Coyote V8 engine, closely related to the Mustang Dark Horse production model. At this year’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, two Mustang GT3s qualified first and second in the GTD Pro Class, with one taking home the win and another finishing third after a grueling 24-hour battle. The Mustang’s performance has set high expectations for its entry into GT World Challenge America.

The series itself offers an exciting format that challenges teams on every level. Each race weekend consists of two 90-minute sprint races, with mandatory driver changes during pit stops. This format demands not only speed but also flawless execution from teams and drivers alike. The season kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 28-30 and concludes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October.

Fans can catch all the action live! Races will be streamed globally on platforms like YouTube and broadcast on MAV TV for North American audiences. For live timing and updates, head over to GT World Challenge America.

With Scott Dollahite’s extensive experience and Anthony Lazzaro’s proven track record, combined with Ford’s engineering excellence and Multimatic’s expertise, Dollahite Racing is ready to take on the best in GT3 racing. As Bill Dollahite put it: “This is a new chapter for our team, and we’re excited to show what this incredible car can do.”
